Default Emissions="System Not Ready" Please Help!

Ok guys, I need some help. My car is a 2001 ws6 I have SLP LTs and a FM11 cam. I have HPTuners and cannot get the system readiness tests to say complete so I can pass emissions. I have done the GM drive cycle 3 times over the last 2 days and I can't figure it out.

I am getting P1416 and don't know where in HPTuners the code is located to set that one to No Error Reported. Am I overlooking something? Do I just need more time driving? I am more than willing to email my tune to someone if that would help.

Thanks for your help.

This can be set to 3 - No Error Reported to pass emissions. Just go to Engine Diag/DTC's and scroll down to P1416 and select the error mode to 3. Also, leave the SES checked. Make sure P1415 is the same as well.

the drive cycle isn't anything that is affecting your car...it won't help you. I will look at p1416 in my efi live and let you know tomorrow....

if you search my name ZL1Killer and look for emissons posts...you will find some info..

also if you go to www.efilive.com ...follow this link

I looked at the list of codes and P1416 is not on there It has P0101 through P0741. Is there some other place that I am not looking for it?

I had the full DTC list with 2.0.17 and with the prior versions. Can you send me your file to twelvesecta@yahoo.com and I will take a look at it.

Disable all O2, O2 heater, cat, evap, egr, air codes and readyness status will read pass when you turn the key on after flashing it.

I looked at his file and I have never seen this. All other *.HPT files have the entire list of DTC's from P0101 to U1301. His file only goes up to P0741. Obviously, he cannot disable those DTC's. Still trying to figure this one out.............

I downloaded a 2001 file from Horist's website and it had all DTC's. I asked him if he still had the stock file from his car.

Unfortunatly I do not have my stock tune. I had a custom tune from James at RWTD before I bought my HPTuners. My Predator was stolen and along with it, my stock tune.

Could you just write a stock 2001 TA M6 HPT file to the PCM and then, modify that one? You could go to the dealer and have them rewrite the stock PCM with the GM file using TECH II. I wonder if the current file is corrupt and is not showing all accessable tables.

I don't see why not. Should go to the dealer, or can I just download a stock one from somewhere so I can make the changes before its in the car?

I will note this and try it next time I have to ge inspected, or if one of my friends has to.

Once someone finds out how this works we might as well make a sticky or something about it, as more and more people are going SD and they are going to be asking about Passing inspections
