Default Problems SD tuning 05 LS2

I am having a couple of easy problems. I am setting the closed loop temp to 284 and the STFT are still coming on. Another problem is we're commanding 13.1 but the PCM is commanding 12.60 @ WOT. What am I missing here?

I'm not meaning to point out the obvious, but there's a fuel adder somewhere thats coming into play. Do some looking around and see if there's a fuel adder that is based on IAT, that would be the first one to come to my mind.

Whats weird is it seems like no matter what I set PE to it still commands 12.60.

Apparently the LS2 doesn't have a normal Open loop fuel table like the LS1....

How are you calculating that you are commanding 13-1? The 12.6-1 at WOT, is that what the scan tool shows the PCM is commanding? Or what the wide band shows?

The scanner is showing that commanded A/F is 12.60 and thats what we use for the WB calc.

I figured it out with help from Chris over @ HPT. Speed density tunes are going to be a piece of cake just like the LS1s. I understand why everyone used to use spreadsheets.

There are 4 tables that multiply out to find the A/F.

that's pretty much impossible. It's probably just named a little different.
Look for Engine coolant fueling correction, or something to that effect.

PE has a coolant correction as well.

Even if you can't find the table that is doing it, the simple solution is to just reduce your VE number until you see the AF you want.

Would you mind posting them up?

This would definitely be good info for future reference.

I'll post them up. Its funny, a few people I have talked to have no idea about it or how the computer calculates. Whats funny is I figured it out on the first car I tuned, some of the supposed tuners have yet to figure this out...

It's pretty straight forward, at least they just use divisors of 1/10 for the most part and nothing crazy. Some of the LS2 cals just divide by 1.
