ok i finished hy header swap a coulple of weeks ago i get the normal rear o2 codes for not having them or sims and i get this... help i don't want to drive the car till i fix the lean condition


P1153- Bank 2 fuel control shifted lean
what does this mean and how do i fix it


a little about the headers i am running pacesetter lts open with a 15" extension on the back( i did this so that i would't foul out the o2). could this be what is causeing lean conditions???? what should i look at first PLEASE HELP

Open headers are hard on the O2's, and they can cause the sensors to read lean due to fresh air coming back in the collector during reversion.

Try getting a y-pipe on there and see if the lean condition goes away. If not, look for exhaust leaks.

lean like that can either be an exhaust leak sucking in air, or a failed/failing injector

As mentioned, running open headers (even 15" may not be enough extension w/a big cam due to overlap) can also skew this data

i think my egr attatchment to the headers is leaking. i think i am going to delete the egr and get some longer extensions put on the headers like 24" or somthing...money is a little tight right now so i can't just run out and get the true duals that i want. do you think that these things would help me out???

ok guys i fixed the leak on my egr and am going to get longer 3in pipe extenisons on my headers tomorrow. how many times does the car need to be started and how long does it need to run each time to reset the ses code light? thanks in advance
