Default is it possible to be TOO lean?

it seems im around 13.5 ish WOT afr this season so far. But I have no KR to speak of. Im down on power some (et and mph down) after an ls6 intake swap and was wondering if maybe the leanness is part of the problem.

Just because you can run 13.5-1 A/f with no knock doesn't mean your making the most power you can for the track which is probly what your seeing. We found that most of the cars like 12.5-1 A/F to run there fastest times

well i went 11.7@118 last year w/ an ls1 intake at 13.0 AFR. now today i went 12.1@115 w/ no other changes but ls6 intake around 13.5 BUT im using a new LC-1 (had an LM1 last year) DA was MUCH better today too.

Yes, it is possible to be too lean.

Try giving it some more gas.

i certainly will richen it up some. i just need to get this lc1 to quit bouncing around so much at wot.

change the sampling rate to 1/6 or 1/12

Bouncing around how much? Are you not getting good results with your histogram, or are you just having it report instantaneous results? Although setting to 1/12th second sampling rate didn't affect my WOT tuning, it might help make it look nicer to you...

Otherwise, you may have an exhaust leak upstream of the sensor...if you do, your readings cannot be trusted. Even a small leak from my band clamps caused reading errors - I fixed it by moving the sensor to my header. The only reason I knew it was a leak was because idle would show some very erratic results (on the lean side).

its still set to instant, i just need to slow down the sampling rate some. its pretty much dead nuts w/ my commanded AFR its just that it looks like a switching o2 right around the commanded AFR which is probably good and just a high sampling rate issue (i hope)

and i have a stock exhaust system w/ the bung welded in front of the DS cat, no leak.

As long as you are sure...Innovate said even a pin hole leak in a weld around the bung could cause a reading error (I think that's a bit extreme, but still, something to consider). I don't think switching from "instant" to something else is gonna affect WOT tuning though...things are happening fast enough at that point (exhaust pulses) to keep the errors to a minimum.
