Default 2 bar volts psi range (for logging boost)

I'm putting a 2bar Cobalt sensor on my setup. I'd like to tap the output and feed it to my E-I-E-I-O on my hptuners/vcmsuite for logging boost relative to airflow, timing, kr, etc.

Anybody have the voltage range and mapping to boost pressure so I can set up the input properly?

PM KP or Blackbird, both frequent the FI section. Blackbird(heath) gave me that info a while back but I can't seem to dig it up

[QUOTE=frcefed98]Heath, how would you tap the MAP sensor to read boost? Sounds like a cool idea and would really help see where i'm at on the log.

you tap into the green wire and run a wire into the car to input into the eio cable

then setup a user defined pid for boost that looks like this.

name boost
abbr boost
sensor manifold absoulute pressure
units psi

I'm curious why one would do this instead of just installing a 2 bar sensor and adjust the PCM to see 2 bar? Then it would show up in the logs as MAP kPa.

Can the EGR wire be used in the same manner instead of the eio, or does it need to be set up differently?

it could be used to log voltage, and then a external program could be used to convert the data... OR.... you would need to figure out a formula.. there is no lookup table (to my knowledge) that can be used for user defined PIDs outside of the EIO

but afterall... thats what the EIO is for.

That's a good point...

Especially if (when) I upgrade to the 2-bar version for my '98.
