Default Cylinder volume ?

I was going over my tune in hptuner and It says that my cylinder volume is .70819 L? That comes out to 5.66 liters 346=/- cu in? I have an LS2 shouldnt it be more like .75 L per cylinder? If this is incorrect why? and if so how will it affect tuning? Thanks

Robert

Edit -- When I look at some of Horist's bin files I see that the LS1 cars have the same cylinder volume?!?!?! Odd So it cant possibly be correct

If I were to change it what could I expect?

Cyl size ties directly into the composition your VE equation, so yes it will make a difference, why your program is reading as a 5.7 is interesting in itself....

This may explain it

Just because there is a table in the pcm, it does not mean it is always calibrated correctly.

Here is another perspective by the HP Tuners team on how important that value is.

very interesting, although, having the displacement to reference a % value for the VE in an editor rogram is important in the sense that if you don't have the correct displacement, then you won't have the correct VE % right? Which in turn can cause a tuner to incorrectly build their VE airflow model around values that could or could not be slightly off... I think what is being said is that the PCM doesn't actually acknowledge the displacement indicator, but for tuning purposes, you should still have the correct size in there in order to ensure the VE calcs are proper during the tuning process
