Default P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage question...

Searched for this, and didnt come up with anything. My temp gauge stopped working, so I bought a new sensor from GM. Put it in, works fine now, but the P0118 code keeps coming back. The wiring looks fine, and nothing is on the wiring or sensor. What would cause this? 98 TA...

Measure the voltage at the PCM and the sender,
and see if (1) they agree, (2) they are in a normal
sort of range (couple of volts). An open circuit is
the likeliest way to get high voltage. Connectors
can look fine with a pin pushed back, etc.
