Gen 7 and Mallory ing NO START ?

Default Gen 7 and Mallory ing NO START ?

this is kinda not the place but, there are more people here with Gen 7 ...

SO i have no spark ....

Gen 7 is online with the PCM
RPM go's to like 200rpm
you can smell the fuel
cheaked for sprk off the coil and NO ?

I have the Mallory hyfire 685 with the Mallory coil as well ....

I have a dual syn diszzy.....

Any ideas ?

I would double check the wiring per the Gen 7 manual. Make sure that the Mallory hyfire is getting power from a constant source, meaning its getting power while cranking.

The Mallory box has power all the time I just cheaked with a test light.

Just added a ground to the coil body to eng ground.

Still nothing no spark ?

I am not really familiar with that setup, but maybe something is not right with the dual synch dizzy?

Got the lt4 with dual sink accel told me to hook the blue wire off the dis, to the white wire on the msd box. sorry I dont know if the mallory box is the same, but you might call accel tech line and ask.

I had the same problem as you when I first tried to start my car. I have the Gen 7 too but I am using the optispark, not a dual sync. I know this is going to sound like "Mr. Obvoius" but check all electrical plugs and connections. the reason mine would crank and not fire is because while running the wiring for the DFI we had placed the opti wire in place but "never made the connection" (If you know Bob and Tom you'll get the quotes). Once we checked everything and found this I simply pushed the fittings together and she fired right up.
