Default knock sensor ?

What is the proper procedure to reduce the sensitivity of the knock sensors? I am experiencing false knock and would like to give this a try. Thanks!

Verify it is false knock with a little 100UL or some race fuel first...

The knock is in the same RPM range all the time. Even pulling timing down to 18* shows 3-4* of retard.

It's pulling timing from around 4400 thru 6000 RPM. Like I said, timing is at 18-20* in that range and I'm still logging 3-4* of retard.

I would still try to verify it is false. Even though it seems it is pretty much false, I would pull it down to 15*, make sure the AFR is good and run some higher octane. Could be a knock sensor going bad.

Thanks for the advice! I'll give it a shot. I don't have a wideband to monitor a/f ratio so can I go by the mV readings on the narrow bands? 890-910 mV I believe? I will try some 100 ul when I get down to about 1/4 of a tank, I just filled up w/ 93. I was thinking 15-20* is kinda low even with the LS6 heads. They're good, but not that good.
