Default HPT: Scanner Histogram and using with VCM Editor ?'s>>

Finally figured out how to work the histograms a little bit in HPT2.0. I can see where I am getting knock retard in different cells. Now what I don't understand is how I can tie this into the VCMEditor and the timing charts.

Do I have to manually find each point in the histogram, say like -4 for knock retard, go into the timing table, and subtract 4 from the same data plot in Editor? And when this is all done, do some smoothing to get rid of any peaks?? Is there an easier way of doing this.

Sorry if such a dumb question, just a total newb at HPT and totally lost. Thanks for any guidance!!

See, I don't really understand this part. I know when in editor, I can select a range of cells, right click, and I have these options to subtract, add, do half percent, etc. But is there a way to tie in the histogram i saved in the scanner and import automatically in editor to make the changes needed?

Or is this something where I have to compare the scanner histogram I made to the editor file, and make changes in the cells manually in editor...

this histograms are like an excel file basically its as easy as highlighting the entire histogram and clicking copy...then go to the editor to the corresponding table and right clicking paste special & picking your poison...its been this way for closing in on two years now.

Ok gotcha, so the tables would have to match up exactly, then select all the cells in the histogram that need editing with the corresponding value, then you can add and or subtract, etc into vcmeditor. In the same cell locations.

Unfortunately this part is not clear, or even defined in all the tutorials in HPT's site or on here. Only the tuning 101 guide only mentions doing it manually picking one cell by one cell and doing that.
