I've been working on a TA that has a 402" ls2, big comp cam, afr225s, etc... and a built stalled 4l60E that shifts violently quick to begin with.
I loaded up a revision last night with the up-swept timing and fast moves from P-R or P-D seem to hold just fine without the engine taking the huge hit that it did. On the spot it worked perfectly, I'll let you know how it does over the next coming days...

I never did a search on this site for the topic since I've never had this problem, therefore I was unaware that it was an unknown tuning fix here on tech.
It's sort of expanding on NoGo's "how to get a H/C car to idle" parameters on the LS1tuning site.
It does the trick on large cam, high-lift cars
