i'm a retard when it comes to tuning so could you explain this.

Also if i stab the throttle even a little bit or just let off in first or second (RMVB th350 so 1st and 2nd have engine braking, its like being in neutral when i let off in 1st and 2nd) it dies.
I have the idle set at 950 with the IAC counts at about 30-40 in N/P and about 70-80 in gear. It also surges a little in N/P.
Its an M6 computer with a th350 tranny so it doesn't have in gear idle/ P,N idle differences.
I have Hp tuners available but have no clue where to start.

Not to be a dick but I thought Brian was your boy and that **** was perfect? Now, I see this...seems its not always greener on the other side now is it?

Now that im done with the ribbing...dont mess with anything until you can find your stock VE table to compare too...id flash back to the stock one and log it to see what the car wants...but before you do that...the car needs a WIDEBAND on it before any changes are made at ALL! You need to see how rich it is now. Im guessing somewhere in the drowned area of AF ratios since its an RPM idle tune we are talking about.

It was. but at 75 mph it would pick up and then bogg down. it felt like it was pulling timing so i logged it with my tech 2 and it wasn't. the O2 readings were at like 100mv and they weren't bouncing back and forth like they should. they would jump to 900mv whenit felt like it was picking up. long story short it was starting up and idling good cause it was in open loop the whole time. got it to where it goes into closed loop again but now its having the same original problems. Brian is helpin me try to figure it out but i'de like to try to do it my self so i don't have to keep driving up there.
i do have a stock tune. to compare to. just don't know what to do.
Right now the #1 priority is to get it to start wihout having to play with the throttle and idle in nuetral/park without surging.

Try some of the following settings to cure the problems you are having at startup and low throttle. Unfortunately I didn't tune anything other than idle/low speed driveability, the rest was done by someone else on a dyno. Also, the guy's car that I tuned had dead O2 sensors when we started so he replaced them with the Vette's rear O2 sensors (Bosch 13111's). I'm also not sure what size converter he was running.

Also you can email me your tune if you'd like and I will try to take a look at it. The address is chad AT dodds DOT cc:

What you are experiencing is a combination of a few things Juan...a bad VE table for starts and like the guy above me is posting...some spark table issues as well.

His tables look real good for what you need at first glance. Some fine tuning here and there once you get an idea of where the A/F is at once you make the changes his taken screen shots of.

I don't have any idle tuning tips but that post by LS1Sounds is pretty nifty with all the scrollbars and stuff. Never seen anyone do that before.

Thanks! It was done using the [ CODE] tags. I didn't want to clutter up the thread with all of those numbers...

Let us know how it works out! I just talked to the guy that owns the TRex car mentioned before, and it's still driving great.

Surges pretty bad at idle and it'll start right up sometimes and not start at all other times.
When i put it in gear (with my foot on the brake) it surges and actually rolls forwards during each surge untill it calms down.

Can you make a log of startup and idle during warmup, and send to chad AT dodds DOT cc? Use this config for logging:

What about "IAC steps vs. Effective area" ?
This says to multiply it by 1.48. it that right? i have a TPIS 90 mm TB.
