DTC on 1998 Trans Am!

Hi!

I am new to this forum and would like to know how I can access the DTC codes of a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am.

Is there a way to access it like on a Corvette, or do I have to use an additional hardware?

you need a code scanner.. autozone will read it for free

If you want to buy a cheap OBDII reader harbor freight sells one for around $50?
