reading fuel pressure in hpt
autometer said that trans am \camaros have the abilty to read fuel pressure in the obd2 system... if so can this be loged with hp tuners without a seperate sender and the EIO
i was under the assumption you had to have a seperate gauge to get your fuel pressure but like i said autometer disagrees....

Looking at schematics for '99-'02 F-body there is no fuel pressure sender for the PCM to read.
There is however a fuel tank pressure sensor. This is used for fuel tank fume venting information by the PCM.

I do not believe this is true.
The electric sender I rigged up with my Actron gauge
is a Kavlico P255 type. They produce a range of
senders that take +5V and gnd and make a 0.5-4.5V
output (just like MAP sensors pretty much).
You might want to just adapt one of these up to a
Schrader fitting, and pigtail it to plug into the A/C
pressure sender connection (get the +5/Gnd for free).
You'd be looking at the raw voltage and have to work
to a pressure based on the sender model #. The -100
(100PSI full scale) model ought to do.
