wtf does my car cut off at 115?

i have a 1998 z28 and it cuts off at 115? why is that? my 99 and 01 never did that?

If it didn't come from the factory with the Z speed rated tires, that is what they do with factory tuning. If it came with them, somebody may have put a PCM in it from a car that did not come with them.

yeah mine had the 118 speed limiter in stock form...most have it set at 160 though like said it depends on the speed rating of the tires.

yea..i just put new tires on it though,i need it tuned huh? ill get it tuned once i do stall, header, cam, and egr delete...thanks guys
