Default BS3 : Car runs horrible when its cold

So my fuel table seems to be pretty good when everything warms up, but when its cold the car hardly runs..

I can fix it by tweaking the fuel table around as it warms up but thats obviously not the correct solution.

Any suggestions?

you should have a table somewhere that let's you select the EQ or Lamda thru the warm up process.

The cold start is under "warm up" at the top of the screen. From the pull down menu choose "coolant correction". Add fuel in the coolant temp area that needs it. Try adding approx percent that made the engine run better in the base map. You can make these changes while it is warming up, but it may take a few cold starts to fine tune.

I wonder if I can put a -% in there because it was almost exactly 50% less fuel when it was cold. Guess I'll give it a try a little later!

If it wants less fuel on warm-up you can run a negative number. I have never ran into that problem. We always need to add fuel, with greater amounts the colder the engine.

The open loop fuel air table (EQ Ratio) gets very fat
for high MAP, low temperature and compounds any
accuracy problems you might have with the VE table
values at low RPM and big cam (which usually push
in the same direction). This drives your idle MAP even
higher as the motor is choking on fuel, and enriches
even more. This is direct, running mixture (not just
close-in after-start).
