Default 1999 LS1 Rev Limiter Problem Please Help

I have a 1999 Camaro SS Slp LS1 6 speed manual Trans. and I found out that the factory specs are 6190rpm 1st through 6th ons and 6189rpm 1st through 6th on the offs which is a 6200 rpm setting. The problem I am having is that the revlimiter is coming on at 5800rpm 1st and 2nd gear and then 3rd pulls to 6200rpm to 6300rpm and so on ! This is happening with a Diablosport Slp tune with the revlimiter set at 6490 1st through 6th ons and 6489 1st through 6th on the offs which is a 6500rpm setting! It is also doing it with the stock tune . I had a new ecm put in the car and a reflash from GM and It still keeps hitting the revs early. The car runs strong and does not have any codes and does not miss. Is there a way to diagnose this problem and repair it all suggestions much appreciated . Thanks, Jamie

Its probally not hitting it at 5800, these cars had a lazy tach in them... According to my factory tach my car shifts at 5500 but it is actually shifting at 6k...

My tach is ~300 rpm off at idle and gets worse as revs increase.

The only problem is that before I installed the Slp tune the car was already dyno tuned from a previous owner which I found out after the fact and I installed a tune on top of a tune which should of never happened and thats when I started having this problem even after I changed the ecm and reflashed . Also slp sent me a new tuner and that still will not change it either! The rev limiter was previously set at 6500rpm and the tach never had a problem and I never hit the revlimiter once until this disaster took place because slp said that if it backloads the so called factory tune then your O.K. and thats when all the problems started. I was told that there is revlimiter sensors as well as fuel limiter sensors and there is a Reluctor wheel and pick up that controls revs so I thought maybe it is ironic that something else is wrong . Can any one HELP!!!!

I set the revlimiter to 6800rpm in all gears with the programmer and it still is doing the same thing How could the tach be off 1000 rpm and it never did this in the past. Something else is going on ????

Default Nobody has had this problem!

I really don't think its the tach because I never had the problem before the tuning diaster took place. I had the vette doctors look at it and they think it might be a fuel limiter shut off problem he seen the problem before and is trying to remember what they did to fix it. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHECK FUEL SHUTOFF OR ANY SUGGESTIONS. I HAVE REAL TIME DATA ON THE PREDATOR TUNER I CAN WATCH WHILE MAKING A RUN . WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR???? JAMIE
