1999 LS1 Rev Limiter Problem Please Help I have a 1999 Camaro SS Slp LS1 6 speed manual Trans. and I found out that the factory specs are 6190rpm 1st through 6th ons and 6189rpm 1st through 6th on the offs which is a 6200 rpm setting. The problem I am having is that the revlimiter is coming on at 5800rpm 1st and 2nd gear and then 3rd pulls to 6200rpm to 6300rpm and so on ! This is happening with a Diablosport Slp tune with the revlimiter set at 6490 1st through 6th ons and 6489 1st through 6th on the offs which is a 6500rpm setting! It is also doing it with the stock tune . I had a new ecm put in the car and a reflash from GM and It still keeps hitting the revs early. The car runs strong and does not have any codes and does not miss. Is there a way to diagnose this problem and repair it all suggestions much appreciated . Thanks, Jamie

My tach is ~300 rpm off at idle and gets worse as revs increase. Thread Starter

Nobody has had this problem! I really don't think its the tach because I never had the problem before the tuning diaster took place. I had the vette doctors look at it and they think it might be a fuel limiter shut off problem he seen the problem before and is trying to remember what they did to fix it. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHECK FUEL SHUTOFF OR ANY SUGGESTIONS. I HAVE REAL TIME DATA ON THE PREDATOR TUNER I CAN WATCH WHILE MAKING A RUN . WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR???? JAMIE
