lm-1 rpm pick up adapter

lm-1 rpm pick up adapter dont have a lot of money whats the best way to pick up
rpm on the lm-1 without spending 100$. i got several spark pic up
devices any thing i can JERRY RIGG up to make work........ i have a multi
meter rpm spark clamp that goes to the multi meter. not shur, can u set up rpm numbers the left side and go buy this. can i corraspond this with hptuners or my scan tool running the same time. whats the deal
with g-tech uses cig lighter to track rpm why didnt they do that then selling the 100$ rpm cable...........
