rock on trans 3 k stall need tune???

rock on trans 3 k stall need tune??? trans worked fine for a week w/stock converter. got stall in today now converter kicks in and out when cruising around 2k. hits limiter when getting on it from dead stop shifting from 2 to 3rd. also cruising @70 slightly gassing it starts to slip then i back out. is it the tune ???is it normall to have tune issues with 3k stall and 3:73's?
