P0507 code after converter install
P0507 code after converter install I installed a converter in my car last week and now my car has the ses light on. So I got my car scanned at autozone today and the car had a P0507 code. It says the pcm has determined that the engine rpm is higher then expected for the current engine operating conditions. Will I be ok or should I get my car tuned asap. The counterman told me I was gonna blow my motor if I dont get it tuned real soon. Is it ok to drive my car still?

I know what you mean about them, because the guy also told me he had a 80 Z28 because he didnt like computer controlled vehicles, but he wants to do a LS2 swap with a turbo or a supercharger. I'm not really worried about the motor, I'm just afraid to screw up my transmission. Right now I dont drive the car all the time I just use it to go to my night classes because I dont want my dd to brake down on me at night. So I'll be ok driving the car still?

You should be OK. Best thing to do is to post this in the automatic transmission section, pretty much all of those guys have high stall torque converters and I dont recall them saying a tune was needed.
