need some experienced tuners I am hoping someone in here can help me with a tuning issue i am having. I am helping a friend (tigerfan187) tune his 03 C1500 ls1 transplanted vehicle with a new cam/ the torquer v2. finally have speed density nailed down solid with the fuel trim learn off & in open loop. i even have pe nailed down.
the issue that is driving me nuts is that when i log data for rescaling the MAF
& go through the procedures as outlined in red hard supras downloadable spreadsheet the new maf calibration curve is not smooth above say 5000 hz,
on top of this the new calibration that i cut & paste when loaded makes the vehicle crazy rich/ like 11.0 afr at part throttle. I am logging this data in speed density as outlined in his instructions.
the vehicle runs spectacular in speed density but i keep failing in my attempts to maf tune. Hopefully tigerfan will chime in & post some graphs.

Try this as a starting point. Then, do your AFR % error with the MAF curve just like you did with the VE table. Log the commanded vs recorded AFR and make small changes to bring it in line.

Make sure you're resetting your fuel trims, and make sure you're not running into COT protection. It commands something ridiculously rich like that when it kicks in.
