Ok. I cant find anywhere that will gut my Cats for me. I cannot afford LTs with an ORY right now and I will likely be installing a S/C in the next month. Can I run my AEM wideband WITH catalytic converters and get any kind of accuracy? I do not want to run the S/C without having some kind of monitoring abilities.

The AFR will read a little bit leaner than pre-cat, but post cat readings are just as consistent and fine for tuning.....lots of dynos put their sensor in the tailpipe (obviously post-cat) and get accurate readings.

Those post cat readings are only accurate at heavy cruise or WOT, doing anything that will rush the exhaust thru the cats before they can chemically change anything.

well with cats on it. depends. if you mount the bung before the cats. your reading should be accurate. my buddy just did a vortec on a g35. an the dumass took his car to a muffler shop an had them install the bung after the cats lol. to save some money? but now he has to remount!

Don't gut your cats - replace them with bypass pipes. I recommend Mufflex.

I had mine after the cat in the stock sensor spot, in closed loop low rpm cruising it always read slightly rich (like around 14.3 - 14.5). I never figured out what was going on with it, currently the LC-1 is off the car.

I put mine in the front stock sensor bung and used the simulated narrowband output for the stock PCM and ran the wideband analog output to HPTuners EIO. Works great so far.

i'm running my wb after the cat and getting 14.7 at idle and cruise. is it safe to assume that my wbo2 is reading the correct afr at those points since the car is almost stock? so would that also mean my wot reading should be accurate also?

car has lid and free ram air. recent plugs and oil change.

How do you manage that?

I have a LM-1 but I guess Soundwave's approach would work.
