Default Hitting every cell in the VE during log?

Hi All,
When logging fuel trims with HPT for the VE table I seem unable to hit all the cells without using WOT to reach high rpm under load. I'm only managing the first top left third/half. Are there any tricks I can use to help or must I then 'predict' the missing values and shape the table plot manually?
Thanks,
Tom.

Hill's, gears, and controlled decel. other than that, you may need to get on a dyno.

You're not going to be able to hit all of the cells in the VE without going to extremes. You shouldn't be going WOT with PE disabled or without a wideband O2. Otherwise as stated above, hills and left-foot-braking will help in hitting some of the outter cells. Beyond that, you'll probably never hit the other cells without a major change in altitude. So, do your best to make an educated guess on what those cells might look like as a sort of back-up. Either way, if you plan on re-enabling your MAF, it should compensate fairly well for any major change.

Thanks guys. I haven't been on WOT . I guess I'll have to 'guestimate' as some of those cells will only be hit with WOT.
Thanks for the advice.
Tom.

I'm able to hit almost all the cells in a manual car. You simply go light on the pedal and go to max rpm in each gear. You need some open road, but doing that will fill almost all the cells.

As an example.

Thanks J-Rod.
I can get the light throttle/high rpm bit but interesting to see that you managed 100KPa at 3600rpm without any PE coming in.

Seems as though we need to disable PE to be sure that the VE is correctly adjusted in the first instance but all advice is NOT to disable PE.
I'll keep trying.
If I happen to enter PE accidentally while logging will I be able to tell. (O2's aside as the cells will be taking multiple hits). Do I disregard any cells that have any PE input?

Tom.

I was convinced I would have a great tune and no license by the time I finished. I made it, but it was scary.

You can use filters to discard any information where your fuel trim cell is greater than 19. This will filter out DFCO and open-loop. Otherwise, you're right. You don't want to go anywhere that PE is active with out a wideband to verify. Really, you should only focus on <4,000rpm for now since you're using just the NBO2's.

Good advice. And until I get on a WB I'll go good and safe on the PE.
