losing tune due to battery?
fuel and idle trims that were learned to get it
straight up. If you massaged the idle settings
the loss of trims would not bother it so much.
But sounds like there is such a thing as "too
light" in the battery.
If you had a scheme where the PCM had some
reserve power maybe it could ride out the
voltage sag during cranking, but there's more
weight. Might want to observe battery terminal
voltage and the IGN voltage during cranking,
see if there are any wiring drops that could be
cleaned up on the cheap and let you get by
with the lightweight battery.
I was looking for info on the next larger than
680 Odyssey, myself (like whether it's good
enough to not do this).
As stated above the tune will stay but fuel trims and iac trims wont if there is a voltage loss. If you want to keep the current battery the best advice is to get the trims as exact as possible so minimal learning is needed
