That would do it, no crank position sensor, the PCM dont know when to fire so it dosn't fire. The crank position sensor is the culprut on other vehicles too, not just the LS1.

car has been sittin, havent had time to mess with. but i know the plug isnt unplugged, i checked that first. another question. does the cam sensor have anything to do with ignition or does it only control fuel timing?
i know this has to be something stupid. i hope. ha.

k, changed the crank sensor from another engine i know works. still no spark. do i really have to take off the intake and change the cam sensor? does it even control spark timing? all fuses are good, using the same pcm and harness as before when it was stock. WTF

I am going thru the same problem, car turns over but no fire. I have been researching the heck out of this. FYI The car will start and run with out the cam sensor functioning properly.
