Default Help with issue with gauge cluster.

Okay, here is the deal. After my cam install my tach stopped working, and my speedo was reading very low. I had two shops look at things at nobody could figure it out. They tried changing the computer, the cluster, checking wires etc, then a few days later the fuel gauge, and temp gauge stopped working and the SVS and ASR lights stay on. The computer sends a signal to my Autometer tach though, any ideas???? I'm at a loss.

You think the VATS could cause this? How is that?

"The computer sends a signal to my Autometer tach"

I think the above tach is getting signal from # 10 white wire on red connector on PCM your "other " getting power from seiral buss connection , < which I would think be your problem ,other than this I have not a clue
sorry, Johnny

I'm having close to the same problem after my cam swap. My guages work okay most of the time, but when you really stand on the gas the tach doesn't read completly accurate I mean sometimes it goes to 6000 then the needle stops as the motor keeps revving and my speedometer jumps all around it bounces back and forth say your gong 70 then it would be bouncing from 50-90mph once you let off the gas it stables back out and reads right. My gas gauge also doesn't work sometimes or it is very slow. Say my car is full, well when I start it the needle goes to E it make take 15-20min of driving before it makes it over to full. Or if I start the car and let it sit still for more then 5-10min the gauge will drop back to E and not work until the car is restarted. I swapped out my cam sensor(it went bad) and crank position sensor. I also unplugged my computer and cleaned out the 2 main connections. I don't think it a ground problem since the gauges worked for a week or so after the cam swap with no problems. So if any finds a way to fix this I would like to know
