Default fast 90 install question (sticky TB)

Got the 90/90 on and she fired right up. Let it idle for a bit and all seemed good. Reved up in nuetral and did fine but when you go for a ride the throttle will stick between 2200ish to 3kish but a quick tap on the gas pedal to rev it up and it will drop back down to idle. Cleaned the mass air and TB very good and it still is doing it. Could I have a vac problem. Maybe not enough spring tension? Seems to have a good amount. Any ideas...

SOB....my buddie and I were just discussing that. What the hell is the big difference of the NW TB. I got a real good deal on my whole set up so Im not that pisses but damn. So no other thoughts. They make a good intake but a shitty TB.

i had some major issues trying to tune a car recently with a BBK TB....not only could you not set the set screw low enough, when you did set it to its lowest point the TB would stick & you'd need to give it 30% tp just to get it to unstick...horrible for around town driving.

Even the ugly spring mod didn't help my fast 90. I gave up and went NW. I just wish the fast was heavier, so I could use it for a boat anchor.

Got the same problem here. Tuned a customer's vehicle and noticed the throttle body sticking at approx 2500 rpm. Had to fit a return spring from the bottom accelerator cable hole to the front stud for the pcv retainer. All better but going to swap for a Holley.

for being so damn expensive thats bs that they are a pile of ****. I got a good deal on a lid, mass, tb and the intake but if I would have know about the fast 90 TB was such a pos I would have just got the NW to begin with. O-well you live and learn.

Yep, FAST tb's suck. I tried to tell my b/f not to get the FAST, go with the NW... but he was in too big of a hurry and did it anyways. The outcome was predictable.

Contact Fast, I think they were/are offering replacement springs to help with this issue.

The spring is not the issue. The problem is excessive throttle shaft play, which will also leak vacuum/boost. A heavier spring just bandaids the pos.
