Default Need quick help....asap.

First off, I have no emissions. Just last week I got my car tuned at A & A Corvette. They said my passenger side O2 sensor was bad so I said go ahead and put a new one in. Then they called me up and said I just had the O2 sensor plugged into the front O2 and they tested the "bad" O2 sensor and it was good (how the hell could I of got that mixed up?!). So they charged me $75 to figure that out.... ok, whatever that's how they make money. Now I just read my codes on my 98' Z28 and I have these:

P0151: (BANK 2 SENSOR 1) O2 SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTS.

P0154: (BANK 2 SENSOR 1) O2 SENSOR CKT NO ACTIVITY.

P0155: (BANK 2 SENSOR 1) O2 SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION.

P1153: AIR METERING CONTROLL FUEL AIR METERING.

And then it repeats P0155 & P1153 again for a total of 6 codes.

Doesn't that basically say that the passenger side O2 sensor isn't even plugged in? My car is also hesitating at a low rpm and could no O2 sensor cause that? Thanks for your help, Steve.

Well, bank 2 sensor 1 is the precat (necessary) sensor on the passenger side. Were they saying you had your 02 SIM on that side plugged into the precat connector? They're not just history codes are they?

Yes, they saying I had my 02 SIM on that side plugged into the precat connector. No, because they deleted all the codes at the shop and then the check engine light came on like 45mins later.

If you don't have a scanner to see what that sensor is actually doing right now wouldn't hurt to just reset the PCM and see what happens. All those codes are for the same sensor.

See what happens...if it throws the MIL for the same codes it's gotta be the sensor/connector/wiring. I'd call them if they come back, shouldn't charge you for diagnostics again.

Lol, thats exactally what I don't want to do. They're two hours away from me... I guess that's what I get for not going somewhere local

Didn't realize that...probably cheaper in your case to just inspect the wiring/connector yourself and/or replace the sensor.

No wires are burnt and nothing is unplugged. So the only thing it could be is the sensor, right? Is there anyway to test the O2 sensor?? And if I get a new O2 sensor should I get the Bosch 13111?

Swap Bank1 with Bank2 and see what happens. That will tell you for sure if its the sensor or not.

Well, I just got a Bosch 13111 O2 sensor and I'm gonna see if that fixes it. Good idea though. When I install the new O2 sensor, the codes won't automatically fix themselves, I have to delete them first, correct??

I'm pretty sure the mil will go off, but the codes will be stored. So yeah, just delete them before or after, I dont think it really matters when though. Hope the new sensor fixes it for ya.

OMFG! I can't get the O2 sensor out! It seems like it seized in place

*Sprayed w/ some wd-40 and let it sit. Tried again 15min later and w/ a little more force it came loose...

Put the new Bosch 13111 O2 sensor in w/ a 1 year warranty and now I have an extra O2 extension Got rid of all the codes and no more hesitation at low rpm's... feels like a new car and it's great not staring at that check engine light anymore!
