Ignorant.. I think not. Seeing how this post was started in '06 and your retort was TWO MONTHS after the last post in this thread...and they STILL haven't released info on even a potential dive into the LT1 market......i'll believe it when I see it...being a HPT user, i've learned thats the only way to see things in regards to HPT releases.

So they released Vortech support......but still nothing for the LT1.

Just thought I would bring this back up. I am an original HPT purchaser and love the program. I now use the the new JET for my TA and HPtuners on the GTO and Vette. I have also had the AEM-EMS and LT1-Edit in the last few years.I have to say that HPT is almost up there with the AEM and much better than the JET. I really wish they would do this, there are alot more people out there that want it as evidenced by JET dumping the money they have into the setup. Large corporations like JET don't generally do things without research first.

well i have a 96 LT1 and have both pcms for it (a OBD1 conversion pcm and the stock OBDII pcm)... I would buy it the day it became available.

There obviously wouldn't be too awfull much RnD if they already know the code well (which they stated).

If they don't release something, i'll be putting megasquirt on my car. I already bought TC but i ain't even going to try and use it. I would much rather have something else (in this order)

1: EFI Live for sure. i think it is an amazing system
2: HP Tuners
3: Megasquirt (a lot of work since i have to rewire the damn works)

Aint gonna happen anytime soon. And, more likely, never.
Ya gotta stop and think about it. They're trying to keep up with the new releases (GM). And on top of that, trying to get the Ford stuff ready to release. Then next in line of importance is the Dodge stuff.
From a business stand point its more important for them to keep up or stay ahead of the other big name companies. EFIlive, SCT, etc.
Some of that is opinion, some is factual info.....

I think the whole deal is a pretty large oversight on their part, but It's their choice to not care. I guess they really don't have any plans on trying to make this happen. It's a shame, that's all I can say at this point. I was originally encouraged by someone from HPT to put a thread together and see what kind of response I would get from the populus, but I'm starting to think that whoever (HPT) made that suggestions was just trying to pacify me.

Oh well, what can I say......we tried.....se la vie

Well, the MegaSquirt II and MegaSquirt Stimulator are on their way to me. Printing out the manual and FAQ to read in the meantime. I have a 96 with the CPS so I'll see what I can get going with on that or the Low Resolution signal from the Opti. I'm currently using the LS1 coils with the LTCC box.

96 OBDII here.... Would love to see HPT for the LT1. I posted on the HPT website forum a long time ago and remember seeing them say the crap about "considering it". Oh well... wish you would do it already.

You're not getting it from them for LT1. Get over it.

Seriously though it's obvious you're not so you might as well use something else.

Kids today have it so easy. They don't know how it used to be. Back then I had ONE option and I was damn appreciative to have it.
Mine still works

There is alot of 'odd ball' hardware in the LT1 PCM, I believe that is the main reason HP hasnt released/developed anything. Editing tables is one thing, but performing some of the magic like they did with the LS1 software would be VERY difficult. I'm working on getting FreeEMS to decode the High/low res track of the opti so we can drive LS1 coils without an LTCC.

And thanks to EFI Connection's latest setup, I will be tuning my LT1 with HP Tuners Pro.
