It finally runs!!
It finally runs!! so after sinking numerous $$$ and time into my car it finally runs. I have a shop already set up to dyno my car. But the question that I have is how safe would it be to drive the car with the factory tune on it? Any suggestions as far as buying some kind of software program to put a base tune on it? I am just worried if I drive it around before it is dyno tuned I might end up with some problems. Post up any suggestions as far as getting the car 'safe' enough to drive around without worrying about destroying what I have worked so hard for!
We need some more information, like what are your current mods to your car, etc.
But generally speaking, it's failry safe to run on a factory tune after some basic mods for a while, you might be running a bit lean or rich, so I wouldn't go WOT until after you get a tune.

Comp 224/230 .581/.592 114LSA, FAST 90/90, Hooker Longtubes, ORY, Loudmouth, Ported Stock Heads, thats pretty much the jest of it. There are alot of supporting mods in there but as far as the more important ones go, thats about it.
Ok that is a lot of mods to change at one time, so your air/fuel ratio is probably way off.
You should be fine for the short term though, you won't damage anything, just don't go WOT until you have the tune.
