Default How bad without a tune?

I plan doing a head and cam swap at the beginning of feb, The cam is 233/239 112lsa from TSP The heads are 5.3 stage 1.5. and I might not beable to get it to the tuner until the middle of the month. It is an A4, I am putting in a 3600 stall also. But what my question is. If I drive it like that without a tune for two to three weeks, will it damage anything or will it just be really shitting drivability?

What can be expected of driving it without the tune right away?

Lane

HORRIBLE, I had the TSP 231/237 cam in my 98Z with a tci 3500 stall & without tuning it would stall at just about every stoplight. Also wouldnt go into 1st or 2nd gear at WOT.

It will run like **** when you can actually keep it running. get the tune before hitting the streets with it.

i have a TSP 233/239 with a tune. if i dont let the temp gauge get a little past 100* on a cold start it will stall. my tune is for a smaller cam that was put in and then taken out for the 233/239. after it warms up it runs perfect and idles at 750rpm. oh yea this is with an m6 so an a4 would be even worse. it just needs a little tune and it should run fine. but heads up on the shitty drivability with no tune and an a4.

Get that puppy tuned immediately!! If you have HPT/LS1edit etc start doing research on what parms you have to change to keep it running. If not....get it tuned ASAP.

Just did head/cam swap to a much milder setup and even after changing stuff in HPT I could barely keep it running.

Good luck!

Like others have said, it will want to stall at lights, ect. The sooner you can get her tuned the better.

If you need some help with the swap I will be more than happy to lend a hand.
