I didn't want to start a thread of my own but I actually just replaced the knock sensors on my 00 C5 last night thinking it would fix the problematic DIC codes P0327! But it just came back again last night! I reset the code and it hasn't come on yet today but the car still doesn't seem to have enough timing?
Any ideas,
Donnie
Could the connector in the back be bad?

Good, thats what mine is doing lol. Mine shows 4º of knock but pulls about 15º which I think is the max setting under knock learn (so it seems it will go off the low octane table).

im got that code after filling up 93 octane in the boondocks, i was thinking it was gas, but now i think it might be the sensor or worse. with my tune in the car it was retarding 4*, w/stock tune it would do like .5* up to 2.0*

i wonder what the deal is....

I dont know what these problems can be? If u guys got any pointers ill appreciate it.

My car threw that code. I pulled the back sensor out and it was completley rusted. Guess that is the price I had to pay to keep the engine bay clean.

put some octane boost i your tank and see if light goes out and stay's out. could be bad gas or tune. if it goes remains out for the tank full plus octane boost then I would check plugs and/or tune. octane boost wont hurt ur plugs, if u check ingredients it's almost like pouring injector cleaner. octane booster has one more ingrediant then inj. cleaner. that ingredient is what give you the octane boost. and for those who dont know for every one point of octane boost the can claims to increase it actually increases octane .01 not 1.0 . of course perform this at your own risk I hold no responsibilty. just my suggestion. look into it some more.......

Well, inspection is coming up in May. I found out my oil leak was my valve cover seals. I'll be replacing those after exams. Still throwing the same damn knock sensor codes. Took it to a dealer, they replaced my egr and said it would fix it... retards. I have already replaced these bastards once. Any ideas?

kinda off topic but maby not. i have a 98 z28 over 95K on it and im gonna do a ls6 intake swap. i dont have any problems with my knock sensors but i read on tech that replacing them with with the newer sensors and tuning the coumputer for the new sensor tables? might help performance or also using the newer tables on the older sensors

When these sensors get water on them, 99% of the time they short the harness out with the extra resistance. Its a 5V reference system on the harness and I always replace them with new sensors, and then seal off the rubber boots with black RTV for a water tight seal. Never have the cars had an issue after that. The harness is 32.13 at the dealer.
