Cold start and KR help with HP Tuners
Brandon
Raise the base running airflow to about the value of
Dynamic Airflow you see with the throttle held to
where you have the right RPM, at the ECT of the
moment. You can populate the table that way as a
start and then refine it by idle trims. Using Excel (or
the StarOffice freebie equivalent) may be easier for
picking off datapoints by eye.
I suspect the VE table is messed up by the mods
(although too, extremely ported heads may aggravate
fuel mixing at lower RPM and worse yet in cold weather
/ cold motor where the fuel does not vaporize so well).
This is suggested by how it "comes alive" right about
where Dynamic Airflow cuts over to all-MAF basis.
Although the '98s -do- come with extra-fussy knock
sensors as a first-year bonus....
('99-up) it's worth a blind stab (or two).
You can attach log files on this 'board and on HPTuners'.
People may tell you "shoulda logged this & that", but
start with what you've got and then roll with it.
