Ok, I made the RAFIG map but somehow I do not think it is complete and ready to use. When I try to open the map, the screen appears empty where it just tells you the key commands to make a new map or open an existing map.
However, when I press Cntrl+Enter, the RAFIG map pops up but I cannot use it to log the car. What am I doing wrong?

If you can get the car to idle close to a resonable AFR for now, you could dial in the idle RAFIG process now. Then after you fine tune your AFR, do it again later.

Hmmm...I'd try making it again and re-saving it. Then, make sure you're logging the PIDs I listed on the 1st page. If the PIDs aren't selected while the map is loaded, you'll see a line through their names on the map and it won't work.

Have you done a speed density tune of the VE tables? If not, you're wasting your time chasing RAF tables alone. You have to get your open loop fueling correct. That means nailing your VE tables, then adjusting your open loop A/F table. Chasing perfect cold start manners with airflow alone is an exercise in futility without the proper A/F ratio first.

And to answer your question, yes, you can make an MS4 start up beautifully when cold.

I agree with Patrick.Start with a base idle tune and tune the rest of the car including getting the fuel and timing right.Then work back on the idle.
