WOT timing?
im @ 25* at WOT now. ive got a heads/cam package 224 cam 5.3 heads w/10.75 comp. ratio. is this low timing hurting me performance wise and if so approx. how much?

There is no standard to how much timing you should run on a specific combo...there might be "starting" guidelines, but thats only a starting point. Your car might be maxed out with 25*...or it might not max out till 31*...the only way to know is either by track or dyno testing or both.

If you're in a good spot with your AFR, bump it up a couple of degrees and make a pass at the track or a pull on the dyno. That's the only way you'll find out. Just keep an eye out for KR. If you see any, back off it off while keeping the progress you made. In other words, it might like more timing before and after peak torque. But just because it only may like 26* of timing at peak torque doesn't mean that's optimal above and below peak torque.

thanks, will do. ive had several heads and cammed vettes and z28s and never had one have that low of timing but ive also never had one trap speed 126. thats the reason for questioning. thanks again.
