Default Need some help with LT4

I just bought a 93 firebird formula with the lt4 kit on it. The car is not tuned and i want to know the best programmer for the lt4 kit. It has lt4 heads, cam, and intake.

I used to use LT1 Edit. Worked for me way back then.

You cannot use LT1 Edit on a 93, it is not a eprom, you will need a actual chip burner.........

That's right. The '93 PCM is EPROM based and will require a chip burner. The later cars are EEPROM (Flash) based. You'll still need an editor to modify the file. I use Tunercat's editors and chip burners and adapters from moates.net. A mail order tune is available from a few sources.

send it off and get it burned plug it back in and be done...

Just get ahold of Alvin @ PCMforless. He's their chip burner guy.

You are right and I knew that Didn't pay attention to it being a 93. Try Ed Wright as he was one of the best LT1 guys back then, probably still is I don't know.

If you want to get into tuning, get the Autoprom from Moates. You can tune in realtime and datalog simultaneously with TunerPro RT, which comes with it. It also has a built in prom burner. It is a very nice piece of equipment.
