Default auto VE problem

i have my commanded AFR set the way i would like it and have the autoVE map setup on the scan tool... however...

when im scanning data it keeps trying to make everything richer than what i have it commanded.... im wanting about a 14.4 idle and its at 13.1-4 right now because i can see it on the lm1... but it keeps giving me a number of 1.2 or 1.3 to multiply that table by...

what am i over looking...... it wants to make the whole table richer throughout all the rpms..... i know im just missing something...

Are you sure your not using Lambda units...?

no in the properties i have it set to AFR... lambda and EQ ratio is right above it... my commanded afr for idle is 14.4 and it idles at 13.x and it keeps giving a number larger than 1 to multiply my VE table by..

edited cause I miss typed.

Can it be your EFI live is not reading the same AFR as your LM-1? If so, the BEN values will differ.

I am having that issue now.

If I look at my Lm-1 and EFilive dashboard side by side, the EFI live Lm1 AFR is reading about .5 -.7 higher on average.

I need to change the settings in my EFi live to read the same as the Lm-1.
Still haven't figured it out yet tho.
I tried a suggestion on Efilive's forum and ran .5 or more richer than the LM-1 indicated.

i got to thinking about it... and could it be trying to always be in PE mode?

how do i disable that... right now i have my 100-kpa row set to 12.0 AFR and my PE mode set to 11.8..... it almost seems like its trying to bring everything to 11.8 .... im just guessing this by the size of the numbers its giving me to multiply my VE table by...

pe mode & open loop go hand in hand in their own special way...normally VE tuning is done in open loop mode with pe active when you hit your enable parameters.

right... i know what the PE enablers are... right now its set at about 50% TPS and a certain MAP value.. i forget what it is....

yes the TPS% is low but i'd like it to be set at about 75% once i get comfortable with the upper RPM tune up that i like....

right now everything is safe but it just seems like the gas milage is plain horrible..... its like i can go for a 20 min drive and being easy on the pedal and suck down 1/2 a tank before i know it.... or it could be the new fuel sensor needs to be calibrated

i'd still like it to idle at 14.4 AFR..... and its still not making any sense why it gives me a number above 1.0 when i can see the LM1 reading 13.x... it should be giving a .9x number....

what is it reading in efilive? Obviously if its reading 15.x in efilive theres an issue..that really should be the only way its giving you ben values that are incorrect...thats what I would check first...if it is reading 13.x in efilive then you probably have your histogram setup incorrectly or something of the like.
