Stock tune sucks I just had my car tuned by excelsior motorsports (guy really knows his ****) and was really surprised how bad the stock tune was. I've heard it was hit and miss but mine seemed really off. I was only getting 16-17 MPG and when I disengage the clutch and let off the gas the engine would decel to about 2500 and then hold their for 2-3 seconds. The car is a 2002 WS6 with only 19k on it. The owner, Kushan spent about 4-5 hours going through all the tables and it feels like a totally different car with better gas mileage. My decel problem is completely gone and was able to give me an additional 10 ft# of torque through most of the RPM range as well as 15 extra horses. Love my low end power now. I guess my point is that a lot of people on the boards say not to waste time getting a tune on a stock motor. It seems from my experience it might not be a bad idea my car is SO much more fun to drive it was worth every penny. I'm not sure if my car was an exception but I wasn't the only one with the decel problem. Anyone else have a shitty stock tune?
