Hi all, can anyone tell me if it is standard after an HPTuners SD tune to have a SES message on the DIC at startup and shut down? Not the check engine light, just the Service Engine message. Codes thrown (at every startup, regardless of being cleared) are:
PCM-
P0102 HC
P0103 HC
Is that normal? Thanks!

Those are MAF codes. Did you plug your MAF wiring back in?
From the Internet:
"A code P0103 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
The MAF sensor may be damaged "
"A code P0102 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
The MAF may be dirty or otherwise contaminated (Note: if you use a reusable oiled air filter, be careful not to apply too much oil or that can contaminate the MAF).
The MAF sensor may be faulty"

MAF is plugged in, my tuner indicated that the codes and the SES message was normal these days for a proper SD tune. I was curious if everyone running SD tunes got to look at the SES messages...?

From a tuning doc on this site:
"Note: You can also set the MAF Sensor Failure Frequency to 0 in the PCM to enable SD mode. Whichever method you choose, you will throw at least one code and set the SES light. You can disable the SES light in the PCM for the corresponding codes, or just ignore it."

Never set the MAF DTC to No Error Reported! Either set them to No MIL Light or leave it alone (stock), you can however uncheck the SES Enable box to prevent the Service Vehicle light (apart from the Service Engine Soon) from coming on. This is how I do SD Tunes and the cars get no DTC on the displays, both LS1 and LS2 type vehicles. You will, however have the DTC PO103 when you scan for codes. That is absolutely normal, otherwise the vehicle will no fall into Speed Density mode properly or at all.

Yup, 12secSS is correct. If you turn off the reporting and have the MAF unplugged, your car is going to die every single time because it doesn't know to fall back to SD.
