Default Timing table looks like ****

This is a my stock timing table bumped up 4 degrees. I should smooth this out dont ya think? Why do they comewith a curve like that?

I customized mine. It's smooth and sees +4 degrees in some spots over the stock file, but not all places. For example, down low I found needed less timing. I can send you my spark table if you want and you can try it out. Just let me know.

Thanks guys, i started smoothing my tables in excel a few hours ago and they look similiar to what you guys posted. I assume that dip in the high gms/cyl areas are the WOT cells.

Many dip it at peak tq where you see the most cyl pressure.

The curve roughly matches your volumetric efficiency table (take a look at it). However it wont match perfectly because as your rpm goes up engines like just a little bit more timing. The higher your rpms the less time there is for combustion so to compensate timing goes up thereby giving more time for combustion.

would demons spark table work for an F14? I am getting the car dyno tuned but as of now its not even drivable to get it their.

Yeah it would do the trick. Its pretty much the stock table smoothed out with a few bumps up and a few bumps down in some places.

just copy those numbers into my High Octane Table? This is my current one, it looks completly different than the 2 posted.

yeah yours looks choppy, the one that SS posted should work just fine. I have a cam just like yours and SS's table worked great so far.

thanks man, tha previous owner change a bunch of this stuff and Im trying to figure out if its all good, becuase after I got the car home I would barley run anymore and now it cant stay alive at anytime other than idle.

Yeah, try my table. My cam's a little bigger (232/238 .595/.605 112). But, it should work fine for yours.

Mine is 232/236 and its fine. LS1 impulse will be good with it too.
