Wierd tuning issue
We tuned my car thinking we had a 160 thermostat. later after trouble shooting why the temps didnt reflect the thermostat we determined it had the stock thermostat. We replaced the stock thermostat with a real 160 and now after a couple of hours the idle is super rich. I run on a open loop tune. any ideas why this is happening.

if you're cooling your engine better (that's what the tstat supposed to allow to happen) that means you get more airmass. in open loop, fueling is dependent purely how how you describe your airflow (usually through VE table). thus, if you are cooling your motor better, and not adjust your VE tables to reflect the true VE, you should be dumping not enough fuel (aka lean). this is the opposite what you're seeing. so it might be the computer detecting it and dumping too much fuel to make up for it. but that sounds like closed loop behaviour, so that's probably not it either.
how did you tune your idle? did you adjust the OLFA table at all? that'd be my first guess.
post your tune and logs before and after, that'd really clear things up.

I dont have a wideband but I have acess to a dyno. Also does adjusting the ofla effect idle because Im also having idle issues. The car shuts off when I let off the gas to fast, in reverse, or when driving below 1500 and stopping.
