PCM reflash
How do I reflash a PCM? I have a 2002 A4 PCM that I need to reflash as a M6 PCM.
I'm installing the LS1 in a 94 Camaro and I'm gonna have to send it out fo a mail order tune anyway, would it just be best to have whoever I have tune it do it?

Yes.
If you don't want to deal with sending your PCM out, check out our service. We send you a device you can use to flash the PCM yourself. Also, we're running an LS1 tuning special through 6/15 ($50 off).

The other option would be to have a local dealership flash it for you, which usually runs about $60~$70. Although I'd rather see a sponsor get the business, it's also nice to know the other options.

My suggestion might have come across a little biased. ;-)
Yes, going to the dealership is an option, too, if the engine is completely stock and the original drivetrain in its entirety has been transplanted.
Or, a local shop might be able to put an OEM flash on it.

^^^^yea if you have any additional mods(stall, gear, big tires) a dealership wont be able to help you. When my PCM went out on my car I had to buy a new pcm and have it flashed back to stock by the dealership, and then take it home and flash it with my Customized LT1-edit tune So if you get a NEW PCM you would have to have it flashed by the dealer and then take it to a speed shop and have them do a custom tune.
