shifting issues I recently put 3.73's in the rear end of my 96' A4 Z28. The car is bouncing off the rev limiter multiple times at WOT during shifts. I am going to send the PCM to PCMforless to have them calibrate the speedometer so that is reading corretly. My question is; will simply calibrating the speedometer fix this problem or is something else needed?
You Will Have To Make Your Shift Speeds And Shift Rpm Be Pretty Close Together And Have Your Rev Limiter High Enough So It Won't Hit It While It Is Trying To Shift. It Has To Reach The Speed And Rpm Before It Will Start To Shift, Then It Has To Have Time To Shift, Needs A Window Before The Limiter. Make Sure The Last Column In The Force Motor Table Is The Same As The Next To Last Or You Might Get Complete Bleed Off And It Won't Shift At All. Had Experience With That One
