Where's that sensor located? Or do you mean an O2 sensor for the exhaust? Both of mine are 3 months old.

If I am not mistaken, P0102 is a MAF trouble code too...

Go to the driver's side header, and find the farthest forward sensor...it should be in the collector (where the 4 pipes merge into one).

O2's, I know where those are. Mine are 3 months old.

Not bad for narrow band O2 sensors living in headers...that's why I threw mine away a couple years ago

One issue with running a "faulty" MAF is severe lean spikes. I tuned an '00 SS LS1 last week that had a "severe stumble" as the owner called it when he stood on the throttle. I ran the car to about 4400RPM when I saw the WB/02 spike to 16:1 and shut it down. I loaded the dyno and eased my way up to the RPM range and sure enough again it climbed. I disconnected the MAF and setup for SD after confirming the fuel pressure was fine. The car immediately responded and the lean spike went away.

Moral of the story...do not assume the PCM will default to SD mode because the MAF is not reading properly. There were no SES lights or trouble codes. With a new MAF installed after the tune and even with the stock tune replaced to verify...it ran perfectly.

Not bad..........when my 436 stroker went in my car in 2002, they lasted 4 years and 7 months with my LT's. I had to replace them 3 months ago because my tranny guy had tranny fluid going through my engine after he installed my new tranny, the module failed. So the tranny fluid trashed them.

The new ones I put in 3 months ago are still fine. My second set of O2's in 9 years.

If you are getting a 1133 I bet they are not switching properly.

Later model year autos may not shift hard when in SD mode. In fact, this may just be the behavior of 1997-98s but I'm not 100% positive of this. When they fall into SD mode, the trans line pressures get jacked way up too. This can be corrected with HPT.
