predator tuning help please

Default predator tuning help please

i just sent my predator to diablosport and they programmed it for my mods. will i have anything to worry about with an SLP MAf? and should i have to worry about my air/fuel? if so how can i check it out with the predator? thanks

My SLP MAF has been totally neutral / good as
far as mixture; '01-'02 model 85mm on an '02 car.

Others report less satisfaction, but the intent
seems to be that the SLP MAF should look like
stock MAF calibration.

Now, from what I gather, the other model is for
'98-'00. But, it also appears to me that '98-'99
PCM "natural" tuning is different from '00. So
how you like the one-size-fits-all kinda comes
down to whether you are thin or fat.

I think you've got a good chance of being OK,
at least within the range of adjustment. If not
then I guess they could make more changes. But
in the end, you don't know until you go.

You can see pretty much what you need to know
from post-learning-time LTFTs, O2 volts and
KR on the real time diagnostics. Hopefully you
had some idea of where you sat before the custom
tune, and will be able to judge the relative
changes and absolute numbers, and put the info
out there for those who follow.

well i looked at the LTFT and they seem to be no higher than 7 and the o2 jumps to 900 920 at WOT and i havent looked at the KR at WOT but just scrolling up and down i have never seen it read any different from 0.00% im gonna have a friend ride with me tomorrow and double check these numbers and ill post it up again, i heard that 5-6 LTFT is good and 890-920 for the first o2 reading. true?

I know you guys have fbodys BUT maybe you could give me some info.

I was using my predator to monitor a silverado 2000, 4.8L that I guy at my work owns. I noticed when he floored it I saw some KR action. i dont remember the numbers exactly BUT is this a sign of a problem. his truck is COMPLETELY STOCK.

Should a truck or car EVER see knock retard? What about if its stock?

Just want to be sure my buddies truck isnt having any problems.

thanks for any info you can provide.

I have an 03 sierra with the 5.3, corsa exh. and upd. What should I look at when monitoring the diagnostics on my predator? What should I look for to be sure the air/fuel ratio is decent?

I'm no expert on this subject, but from what I have read and what my GM mechanic tells me, some knock may occur during short periods of rapid acceleration and high load.I have seen this when logging EFILive runs with my car. The PCM will start to pull timing as the knock counts are registered. As long as the PCM can quickly bring the knock under control it will not harm anything. I'm sure somebody out there can give you a more technical explanation as to exactly what occurs.
