I am going to be buying LS1 edit and 2 additional pcm's for me and a couple of friends. I emailed ls1 edit and they said that you would only get one cable when u buy addidtional pcms's. Or everyone can pay the $550 and get there own cable. I dont want to have to share the cable with 2 other people or have to pay $550. Is there any other cable that would work like the autotap cable or am i out of luck. thanks for yor help.

yep, it's the cable that stores the vins.

It's not just a cable, there is a small black box included that has some electronics inside.
