HELP !! GETTING ONE CODE PO654 engine speed output curcuit problem

I Am geting this one code and its stoping my tach on my cluster from working i just got the motor completly rebuilt with all new sensors even the cam sensor and i am getting this one code it says po654 engine speed output curcuit problem .. can anyone help me fix this problem please ... thanks alot

ya the car is a 98 ta . i read the link you put on there can anyone tell me how to fix this problem cause i really dont get the directions on the link. thanks

The first diagnostic, pulling the PCM connector and checking for voltage is easy. You can also visually inspect the white wire going to the C2 Blue connector, pin #35 and see if it's broken - if the car is a M6 maybe it's damaged from a shift light install or something? If you don't feel comfortable with the flow chart or suspect the IPC you might want to have someone look at it for you.
