Default downloadind my current tune job to a CD

I am about to take my car in for some warranty work soon and I an worried about my tune job being reset to factory specs. If I buy LS1 edit can I download or save my current tune job on my computer or a CD and reload it after a CPU reset. Also I heard there is a waiting list on LS1 edit. Is this true? Thanks for any help guys.

Did you try checking with your tuner (looks like Speed Demon Motorsports)? Maybe they keep they flashes they do on their computer, they aren't big at all.

I`ll check with my tunner and see what he can do.

Still my question is will I be able to do this with LS1 Edit. Even though my tunner may be able to re-flash my computer I still plan on buying LS1 Edit.

The guys from LS1Edit read this forum, but you may want to send an email to info@ls1edit.com or goto the website, register and post this question. If you get ls1edit you will be posting a lot there anyway.

I purched LS1 Edit a couple weeks ago, the software was emailed to me the next day and the hardware was airmailed to me in 2 days. So I don't think there is a waiting list.

Yea, same here. It took them 3 days on the software by email and 2 days for the cable. No problem. By the way, some places will lock the pcm to keep you from copying. It can be reflashed, but not copied if it's locked.

If whoever did your tune did not lock the PCM then YES
you can via LS1edit download your PCM's flash memory into your PC and it becomes a small 512K file.
Then at any time you could upload it back into your PCM to the state the PCM calibration was at the time you downloaded it.
