Default 58 tooth versus 24...they sent me the wrong crank

I ordered a Compstar crank direct from Callies/Compstar, and it's got a bit of custom work done to it (Callies had a shop local to them do all the work before they ever sent it to me).

Problem is, I'm building a boosted iron block engine, and I REALLY want to be able to run the HP Tuners 3-bar OS with an LS1 PCM, not the 2.5 bar OS in the LS2 PCM. Is there anything I can do in the PCM so that I don't need to spend time shipping the crank back and forth (I don't know fo ANY local shops capable of swapping the reluctor wheel since it seems to only be pressed on with no keyway or anything else degreeing it to the crank). I got home from work like 5 minutes after Callies closed for the day so I left them a message and hopefully they'll call me back tomorrow. I'm kinda bummed...I hope I can make this all work out.

If you're spending the money, get what you want. Don't settle.

I agree with you...but time is kicking my butt.

No - the LS1 PCM can not work with a 58-tooth crank wheel.

Gary...thank you for confirming what I knew that I already knew...sometimes when you're really bummed out you hope you're wrong and that it might have a chance of working anyways...I know Callies will only need to pull the reluctor off and press the new one on in their fixture so it's degreed properly...but it also means more time lost.

Thanks guys

Just spoke with Callies...they're sending me a return shipping label and they're going to swap the wheels for me...good customer service goes a long way, and I guess I'm only losing a few days so it's not the end of the world...least I'm happy again.
