Default o2 question?

Is it possible for the o2's to be bad and make the car run rich and not throw a code? I all the sudden picked up a rich condition and im trying to hunt it down.

well sometimes they go what they call biased meaning they stick more to the lean side which will make your car run rich or they stick to the rich side which will make your car run lean. Sometimes they dont swith as fast enough which in that cause you will have a lazy 02 sensor. Which the PCM will probably throw a code.Any way Check you coolant sensor a plugged PCV valve or hose check your fuel pressure regualtor for a ruptered diaphram ,leaking fuel injector. Is the car going into closed loop? Hope to be some help to you . Good Luck
